This week, a fragment of papyrus purchased in the "Pawn and Bong" gift shop in Jerusalem was found to contain the last few verses of 2 Timothy 3, including a previously unknown final verse experts are calling "Verse 18."
Scholars say they are surprised at the discovery, but they're working very hard to understand the origin and intent of the new verse.
Meanwhile, megachurches have already popularized a soft rock song using Verse 18 exclusively in its lyrics, and fundamentalists have modified their doctrine in accordance with the new verse, adding "Anyone who does not do the same should not be allowed to marry."
Here is the manuscript in its entirety, with Verse 18 in bold:
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. Do not use scripture orally after taken rectally.
